Yesterday I got back from a spontaneous trip with 2 of my best friends to Portugal’s lovely capital city, Lisbon.
I say spontaneous but we did book it at the end of April after deciding we just really wanted to travel. Due to work commitments we didn’t have many days to play around with and originally came up with quite an unrealistic plan of visiting multiple places in very little time. At this point Lisbon wasn’t even an option but after several stressful meet ups with nothing going to plan we had to rethink what we wanted to do.
We had always planned to do a city trip rather than a sunny holiday and once Lisbon was mentioned and we had googled more about it, our hearts were set on it. It had the best of both worlds being an exciting city to explore and being right on the coast.
We managed to find the best accommodation thanks to Airbnb and crammed so much into the time we stayed there from Sunday to Friday. Overall I spent around £350 which included everything: flights, accommodation, attractions and even travel money. I can not recommend Lisbon enough, I’m in love!
Over the next few days I will be doing a travel guide on what we got up to day by day in and around the beautiful city so make sure you stay posted!
